Upon reaching old age, they make a final homage to the place of their birth and undergo a magical transformation that turns much of the bird's bright, wild plumage to ash, but leaves behind crystallized fragments of their past life, as well as a gilded egg in which the phoenix will begin life anew as a chick.

This Jeweled Phoenix Skull is completely handmade and crafted with the utmost care. It is a one-of-a-kind art piece made of resin that has been airbrushed and hand painted with acrylics for additional depth and dimension.

There is a mandala design painted on its forehead that has been inset with a small deep blue Swarovski crystal.

The resin is a gently two-toned semi-translucent blue with a lustrous semi-gloss finish. The skull has light blue mottling to it with underlying shimmer, and is embedded with a variety of glitters and holographic flakes. The beak tip has been lightly airbrushed a pearly silver.
